I'm a nervous nellie...The thought of selling my jewelry online had me very creeped out. I initially posted photos of my jewelry on flickr, and another jeweler on flickr chose one of my pendants as a favorite for their jewelry group. That made me realize that there could be an interest in my jewelry. I made preparations for about a month before I opened my etsy shop. For me, the main concern was figuring out how to calculate shipping prices.
Ok, ok...you have tortured me enough, I will tell you how I post the jewelry! First I measure the jewelry by length and width and then I type up a description for each piece. I then do my own calculation of the price, and take photos of the piece. By having a description ahead of time I can list them quickly by simply cutting and pasting. I tend to keep the shop small for technical reasons and to keep it more manageable for me. I work a full time non-jewelry day job, so I really can't spend my days making restock jewelry.
Yay, I'm your first follower. Well done for taking the plunge!
